For over twenty-five years, Joanne V. Belben has practiced counseling through Arbour Counseling Services, South Bay Mental Health and as an Adjustment Counseling Assistant in Mansfield Public Schools. Joanne has shared her expertise as an Adjunct Instructor in Psychology and Sociology at Fisher College and Bay State College for over 15 years. Before obtaining counseling credentials, she served as a certified Elementary/Special Needs Teacher and was a stay at home mother of 2 children. Her private practice, JVB Counseling Inc., combines all of the above professional expertise and personal life experience needed to enhance the counseling process for individuals and families.
Joanne holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Needs from the University of Massachusetts (Boston State College) and a Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling from Bridgewater State University (formerly Bridgewater State College). Presently, she is a Massachusetts Licensed Mental Health Counselor and was formerly certified as a Massachusetts Elementary Education Teacher (K-9).
